FLOR & HAROLD BONILLA - BORDADOS Y CALADOS FLOR

 

The workshop of Harold and Flor is dedicated to 100% handmade embroidered and hemstitched clothing.  In 2004, Bordados y Calados Flor workshop was born under this husband and wife team with a dream to become the leaders in Colombian embroidery by producing the highest quality and innovative clothing. Flor, worked for many years as an embroidery maker and seamstress, and obtained her certificate of couture sewing in 2010. Harold, a coffee planter decides to quit his work to support the development and commercialization the family business. In business, for over 12 years, they have been working for Colombian designers, such as Juan Pablo Socarras. in 2010 they  participated in the National Fair of Embroidery under the name of their own workshop.  Flor heads up a team of ten single mothers, whose main source of income rely on the development of this art.

The ENARTE collaboration with Harold and Flor is all about globalization for them.  Our collection is all about re-inventing linen. ENARTE intregrates the master pieces of Calado with Leather to create a Women collection that trascends tradition. Also, ENARTE partners with Bordados y Calados Flor  to recreate embroidery and calado into modern pieces in our children’s clothing to make luxury and style a part of everyday wear for all seasons.  Our jackets, coveralls, dresses, and shirts, and pants are easy and relaxed for the summer heat and provide the perfect bit of warmth on a crisp, fall day.
