JULIA ESTHER E CHAVEZ - "JULI "

Originally from Mompox, “filigree” is an art tradition passed down from one generation to the next in Jule’s family.  Filigree is an intricate and complex process and requires the precision of a surgeon to spin and mold silver and gold into unique shapes which create the finished product of filigree.  Jule is inspired by Mompox, a city frozen in time that clashes modernity and architectural designs of Cartagena where she resides.  Filigree dates back to the 7th Century B.C, when the Etruscans perfected the most difficult techniques with the most basic of tools, creating the first developments of filigree.  Mompox, the naval city of the Magdalena River is known its fine precious metal-smithing, especially for its filigree art. When strolling along the streets of Mompox, it is impossible not to hear the tapping of hammers.

The ENARTE filigree collection is representative of Mompox, where time seems to stand still in this city that has preserved its colonial character and beauty. Our collection with Juli  is bold and refined, perfect for any occasion when we want to stand out in a crowd.
